On 5 October 2026, a new version of Vinted's Terms and Conditions comes into force. You have probably received the email. Like most people, you probably did not read it to the end: it is long, it is dense, and the important part is not at the beginning.

We read it. Here is what matters, without the sugar-coating — including the part that concerns us directly, us, the tools.

1. Your wallet changes provider

This is the most concrete and immediate change. If you have activated your Vinted wallet, you must also accept the terms of Vinted Pay UAB. Accepting does two things.

Mangopay, the current payment provider, is replaced by Vinted Pay. And you authorise Mangopay to transfer your funds and then close your account with them.

The transfer is automatic, free of charge, and covers both available and pending balances. Your wallet data follows: name, date of birth, nationality, address, email, IP address, bank details, verification documents.

If you refuse, you can no longer use Vinted. You will still be able to request a payout from your current wallet, but it will eventually be closed. This is not an open choice: it is accept or leave.

Pro sellers holding a Vinted wallet are not affected by this migration.

2. Your content trains their AI

Paragraph 5 deserves to be read in full. By uploading your photos, videos and descriptions, you grant Vinted a licence that is "worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable and sub-licensable".

That licence explicitly covers "the development and improvement of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning models". And displaying your content "on other websites and on social networks such as Facebook, TikTok and Instagram".

You can opt out of marketing use in your account settings. The rest of the licence, you cannot.

3. The deadlines tighten

Several clocks worth knowing, because a missed deadline costs you a cancelled transaction:

5 calendar days after your first sale to open a wallet, otherwise you cannot ship and the transaction is cancelled.
5 business days to ship with a prepaid label.
2 calendar days to report a problem after delivery, otherwise the transaction completes automatically.
7 days to verify your email at sign-up, otherwise the account is not created.

4. The part nobody quotes: external tools

This is where we are concerned, so we may as well say it plainly rather than pretend otherwise.

Paragraph 6 prohibits "using any type of external software tool (including but not limited to bots, scraping programs, crawling programs) when using the Site", and the parenthesis specifies: "including but not limited to, for the purpose of promoting Items, adding Items to favourites".

The same list prohibits "deleting and re-adding the same Item several times", and "sending unsolicited or bulk messages to 5 Users or more".

There is no convenient reading to be had here. These wordings describe republishing, automated favouriting and bulk messaging — that is, what Redrip and every tool in its market do. The clause ends with a carve-out: "unless such use is authorised, offered or otherwise permitted by us". As of today, no tool on the market holds such an authorisation, Redrip no more than the others.

5. What you actually risk

Paragraph 7 details the corrective measures. Vinted can issue a warning, remove an item, hide content, block a feature, or block your account temporarily or permanently. Detection can be automated.

If your account is blocked: your items leave the catalogue, the paid services you purchased are not refunded, your ongoing transactions may be cancelled, and Vinted may prevent you from creating a new account.

You do have a right of appeal: Vinted must give you a statement of reasons, and you can contest it through their complaints system.

What we do at Redrip

We are not going to tell you we have "brought ourselves into compliance": the text does not target a usage rate, it targets the external tool itself. No setting changes that, and letting you believe otherwise would be doing you a disservice.

What we can tell you is what has been in the code since July 2026, when Vinted tightened its repost detection:

One republish per item per 24 hours, maximum. It is a hard cap: even if you set Redrip to "unlimited", it will never be exceeded. We track each item by lineage of identifiers, because republishing creates a new ID and simple title tracking missed cases.

One message per buyer, maximum. No follow-up, no duplicate.

A 2 to 4 second pace between two likes on Favourites Boost, and an item cap depending on your plan.

These guardrails exist because we watched test accounts get blocked running unlimited overnight. They reduce exposure. They do not remove it.

Our advice, including against our own interest

Read the Terms before accepting — especially the wallet section, which commits your funds and your banking details.

If reselling is your main income, do not rest it on a single platform. That is true with or without a tool, and it has always been true: a platform that changes its rules overnight can wipe out your business in a week. That is why Redrip also publishes to Leboncoin, and why we are working on eBay.

And if you use a tool, any tool, know what you are doing. The risk is real, it is documented in black and white in the text above, and it falls on your account — not on the tool vendor's. A vendor who tells you otherwise is lying to you.
