The principle: one account = one Chrome profile
Vinted only allows one session per browser: you can't have two Vinted accounts logged in at the same time in the same Chrome profile. The solution is to create a separate Chrome profile per account: each profile has its own cookies, so its own Vinted session.
Redrip then links all these profiles to the same Redrip account: the dashboard gathers your accounts in one place, and each profile acts with its own session (no shared password, nothing risky).
Step 1: Create one Chrome profile per account
- In Chrome, click your avatar/profile at the top right of the window.
- Click “Add” (or “+ Add profile”).
- Give it a clear name (e.g. “Vinted (Mum's account)”) and a colour to recognise it.
- A new Chrome window opens: that's the profile dedicated to this account.
- Repeat for each Vinted account you want to manage.
Tip: keep one window per profile, each recognisable by its colour/name. You switch between them via the Chrome avatar.
Step 2: In each profile: Vinted + Redrip
In each profile window:
- Go to vinted.co.uk and log in to the right Vinted account for this profile.
- Install the Redrip extension. Extensions are per profile, so install it in each one.
- Open redrip.app and log in to the same Redrip account in every profile (same email/password everywhere).
That last point, the same Redrip account everywhere, is what gathers your Vinted accounts under a single dashboard.
Step 3: Switch between your accounts
At the top of the Redrip dashboard, the account selector lets you choose:
- All accounts: overview of the account connected to this browser.
- Each Vinted account: pick it from the dropdown to show its wardrobe, favourites and messages. The connected account shows live; the others show from their sync (see below).
How the other accounts show up everywhere
Each open profile syncs automatically its data (wardrobe, favourites, messages, as lightweight metadata without storing images) to your Redrip account. As a result, from any profile you see the wardrobe and activity of all your accounts. No manual backup needed.
For an account to appear the first time, just open its profile once (with Vinted logged in and Redrip installed): its sync runs on its own within a few minutes.
Automating several accounts
The Auto-pilot works per profile: in each window you enable it once, and it re-lists / sends favourite offers / drops prices in the background for that account. Since each profile has its own session, they run in parallel, independently.
Two conditions for automation to run:
- The profile window stays open (you can minimise it; no need to watch it).
- A vinted.co.uk tab stays open in that profile: Vinted requires actions to come from a tab on the site.
Good to know
- One Vinted account per Chrome profile: that's a Vinted constraint, not a Redrip one.
