What is happening
Vinted monitors the pace of actions: listings, deletions, messages, offers, favourites. When an account does a lot of them in a short time, Vinted may block some actions for a few hours or a few days. Most of the time it is a temporary restriction, not an account closure.
Redrip cannot lift a restriction: only Vinted can. You can, however, prevent it from lasting longer or happening again.
Right away: 4 good habits
- Pause your automations in the Redrip dashboard: scheduled relists, automatic messages, offers. Carrying on during a restriction can extend it.
- Do not create a new account and do not open another one on the same device: Vinted can link accounts together.
- Read the message from Vinted (notification or email): it usually states the duration and the actions concerned.
- Wait until the restriction ends before restarting anything. You can keep replying to your buyers manually if Vinted allows it.
How long does it last?
Most often 24 to 72 hours. A restriction that happens again can last longer. If it goes beyond the announced duration, contact Vinted support from the app.
Resuming safely
- Resume gradually: a few relists per day during the first week, then increase.
- Increase the delay between two items in the Redrip settings: 3 minutes or more.
- Spread your actions over the day rather than launching everything at once.
- Limit automatic messages and offers to favourites: they also count in the pace Vinted watches.
- Avoid relisting your whole wardrobe in one go.
What about your Redrip subscription?
If the restriction forces you to stop for a few days, there is no need to cancel: your settings and backups stay in place. If you would rather take a longer break, write to us from the Support menu of the dashboard and we will find a solution together.
Frequently asked questions
Are my listings lost?
No. A temporary restriction does not delete your listings. Redrip also keeps a backup of your listings that you can relist later.
Why did Vinted restrict my account?
Most often because of the pace: many listings, deletions or messages in a short time. Reasonable delays between actions greatly reduce this risk.
My account has been closed permanently, what can I do?
Contact Vinted support from the app. Redrip cannot act on your Vinted account, but your Redrip backups remain available.
