Why seasonality matters

A swimsuit in December = 0 views. A swimsuit in March = 50 views/day. Timing dictates your visibility. Vinted doesn't have an explicit seasonal algorithm, but user demand changes radically.

Rule: list 4-6 weeks BEFORE the season peak to catch the first buyers (the most motivated and least price-sensitive).

January — Sales and clearance

Peak sales: winter coats, puffers, thick sweaters (sale-hunting buyers). Sportswear (sport resolutions). Ideal for clearing winter stock.

To avoid: swimwear, summer dresses, sandals — too early.

February — Valentine's + transition

Peak: lingerie, jewelry, "gift" accessories. Dressy dresses for evenings out.

To list: start mid-season collection (trench coats, light jackets) that will sell in March.

March-April — Spring

SWIMWEAR launches. Lots of people prep Easter/April holidays. List your swimwear now to capture these buyers.

Peak: dresses, skirts, blouses, light jackets, sneakers. Easter boost on kidswear.

May-June — Summer kicking off

Absolute peak for swimwear, shorts, flip-flops, sandals, sunglasses, light dresses. Communions, weddings → ceremony suits/dresses.

To list: already prep your back-to-school collection (shirts, jeans, mid-season jackets) for August.

July-August — Vacation

Real Vinted traffic DROPS in July-August (vacation). But swimwear/shorts demand holds up. Peak on kidswear before back-to-school in late August.

To list: everything back-to-school — backpacks, jeans, sneakers, mid-season jackets.

September-October — Back-to-school + autumn

Massive Vinted boost (buyers back from vacation). Peak: denim jackets, sweaters, ankle boots, jeans, shirts. Halloween late October = costumes.

To list: puffers, coats for November.

November — Black Friday + winter starts

ABSOLUTE Vinted PEAK (Black Friday boosts traffic +40%). Puffers, coats, boots, cashmere sweaters. Vinted Pro pushes Q4 acquisition hard.

To list: party outfits (dressy dresses, suits, elegant blouses).

December — Holidays

Peak on evening dresses, suits, jewelry sets, gift accessories. Christmas gifts = boost on items at €15-30 in standard sizes.

To avoid: swimwear, sandals, summer items (put on pause).

Non-seasonal categories

Handbags, jewelry, books, vinyl, classic shoes (sneakers, trainers) — steady sales year-round. No critical timing.

How to leverage this

Vacation mode for off-season items

Instead of letting swimwear linger in November → vacation mode or remove. Reactivate in March. See vacation mode guide.

Republish at peak

Your winter items, republish them en masse in November. Your swimwear → March. Redrip's auto Pilot lets you schedule this automatically.

4-6 week anticipation

If you list a swimsuit on July 1st, it's too late, the peak is gone. Aim mid-May to catch rising demand.

Recap

Swimwear = March-June. Coats = Sept-November. Ceremony dresses = April + December. Anticipate 4-6 weeks. Off-season = vacation mode. Absolute peak = November (BF).
