What is Vinted auto mode?
Auto mode is a feature that relists your Vinted items automatically, at defined intervals, without intervention on your part. You close the Vinted tab, you close the Redrip tab, and relisting continues in the background as long as your browser is running.
Concretely, at midnight, 8am, 2pm, and 8pm (you pick the slots), Redrip goes through your closet, selects 5 to 10 items based on your criteria, and relists them one by one with realistic delays.
Why auto mode changes everything
- Perfect consistency: your items are never forgotten, even on days you don't open Vinted
- Impossible to forget: you set it once, it's done forever
- Safe-calibrated cadence: Redrip spaces relists with jitter, pauses, and a daily cap
- Time saving: 12-18h/week according to community sellers
Step-by-step tutorial — Configure auto mode
Step 1: Install Redrip
Go to the Chrome Web Store and install the extension. Once installed, the Redrip icon appears in the top right of Chrome.
Step 2: Connect your Vinted account
Log into Vinted normally (vinted.fr). Redrip automatically detects your session via cookies. No password to provide, no separate login.
Step 3: Open the overlay on Vinted
Once on any Vinted page, click the "Open Redrip" button or use the shortcut. The overlay appears over the Vinted page.
Step 4: Go to the "Auto mode" tab
In Redrip's top bar, click "Auto". You access the auto mode configuration.
Step 5: Configure the time slots
Choose the hours at which auto mode should activate. Recommended: 4 spaced slots (for example 9am, 1pm, 6pm, 10pm), no more. Avoid the night (midnight-7am) — a human sleeps.
Step 6: Set the number of items per slot
Maximum 10-15 items per slot, spaced 5-10 minutes apart. If you have 50 items in your closet, that means 5 slots before you cycle back to the start. At normal cadence, each item is relisted every 4-5 days.
Step 7: Enable jitter
Enable the "Random jitter" option — Redrip will add random ±2-minute delays around the slots so it doesn't create a detectable regular pattern.
Step 8: Enable and minimize
Click "Enable auto mode". You can now close the Redrip overlay — the task runs in the background via the extension's service worker.
Cadence best practices
- Don't exceed 50 relists/day total, across all slots combined
- Night pauses mandatory: midnight-7am with no activity
- Weekend pauses optional but recommended if your normal Vinted activity is during the week
- Vacations: if you're gone for 2 weeks, pause auto mode. 24/7 activity while you're obviously absent (zero message replies) is a red flag
How to check it's working
After 24-48h of auto mode enabled, you should see in Redrip → History:
- Logs of completed relists
- Timestamps with their jitter
- Items touched and their position in the rotation
You can also verify on Vinted that your items have indeed been moved back to the top recently.
Enable auto mode in 2 minutes
Redrip is free and auto mode is included on install. Configure once, forget forever.

Does auto mode work when my computer is off?
No. Auto mode runs via Chrome's service worker — it needs Chrome to be open (can be minimized, but not closed). On Mac, you can put Chrome in the background, auto mode continues.
Can I have auto mode on mobile?
Not directly — Redrip is a desktop Chrome extension. But once Redrip is running on your home computer, you can close your phone and everything works without interaction.
What happens if Vinted logs me out?
Redrip silently stops auto mode. You get a notification (if enabled). You log back into Vinted, auto mode resumes automatically.
Does auto mode use a lot of resources?
No. Redrip runs a few API requests at each slot, it's negligible on CPU/RAM/network.
