Difference: blocked vs suspended vs deleted
– Temporarily blocked: can't sell/buy while Vinted investigates. Reversible.
– Suspended: official Vinted sanction, reason communicated. Appeal procedure available.
– Permanently deleted: irreversible. Your seller data may be retained 1-3 years for legal compliance.
Common reasons for blocking
1. Undeclared commercial activity (DAC7)
If you exceed €3000 or 30 transactions/year without validating your tax data, Vinted temporarily blocks the account.
Solution: Settings → Tax information → fill in your status. See DAC7 guide.
2. Identity not verified
Pending KYC request. Above certain thresholds, Vinted forces verification.
Solution: Settings → Verification → upload ID/passport.
3. Reported behavior
A buyer reported you for a dispute, non-conforming items, or abusive behavior.
Solution: check your disputes, respond factually with evidence (tracking number, pre-shipping photos).
4. Bot detection
Vinted detects non-human cadences (massive relisting, identical messages). Account flagged.
Solution: pause automation for 48h, wait for Vinted to reassess. Reduce cadences long-term.
5. Sales of forbidden items
Counterfeits, alcohol, weapons, medications = forbidden on Vinted. Auto-detection + reports.
Solution: remove the offending listings immediately. No appeal possible if repeat offender.
6. Suspected banking fraud
Frequent IBAN changes, payments from foreign IPs, unusual behavior.
Solution: send ID + proof of ownership of the bank account.
7. DAC7 threshold without reply
Vinted sent you tax info requests you didn't fill in = automatic block.
Solution: fill in the requested tax form.
Steps to unblock
Step 1: read the Vinted email
Vinted sends an email with the reason. Check inbox + spam. No reason communicated = first temporary suspension (24-72h).
Step 2: reply to the appeal form
The email contains an appeal link. Respond factually, attach evidence (ID, purchase invoices for your stock, legal status if self-employed).
Step 3: contact support
If no appeal link: Settings → Help → Contact support.
Email: support@vinted.fr
Include: Vinted username, account email, suspected reason, steps already taken.
Step 4: patience
Processing time: 3-14 days. No other channels (phone, chat). Twitter @Vinted_FR (DM) sometimes faster for urgent cases.
Step 5: mediation
If Vinted doesn't respond after 14 days:
– Consumer mediator (free, 60-90 days)
– DGCCRF if consumer abuse
– CNIL if personal data issue
If Vinted confirms permanent closure
You lose: account history, ratings, items, conversations.
You get back: pending balances (Vinted transfers to IBAN within 30 days max legally).
You can: create a new account with legitimate identity (no fake name = permanent IP/device ban).
How to avoid blocking in the future
1. Switch to Vinted Pro once you have regular activity (see Pro guide)
2. Legal status (self-employed) for commercial reselling
3. Avoid excessive automation: human cadences
4. Respect Vinted terms: no counterfeits, no forbidden items
5. Back up your listings regularly (Redrip extension exports to CSV)
6. Reply quickly to Vinted requests (KYC, tax)
7. Check your Vinted emails daily
