Causes of suspension
1. Terms-of-service violation: selling counterfeits, prohibited items, spam
2. Undeclared commercial activity above DAC7 thresholds
3. Reported behavior by other users
4. Bot detection: non-human pacing
5. Fake profile detected: duplicate, identity theft
6. Suspected payment fraud
7. DAC7 threshold without response to tax info requests
Steps to recover your account
1. Read the suspension reason
Vinted sends an email with the reason. Read it carefully. No reason given = a first-time suspension may be temporary.
2. Reply via the appeal form
The Vinted email contains an appeal link. Argue factually, attach evidence (purchase invoices, ID documents).
3. Contact support directly
If no link: support@vinted.com. Mention username + email of the account + suspected reason.
4. Be patient
Processing time: 3-14 days. No other channels (no phone, no chat).
5. Permanent suspension?
If Vinted confirms a permanent closure, no appeal is possible. You lose your history + balances (Vinted transfers the balance to your IBAN).
If you don't get the account back
Create a new account with a legitimate identity (reusing a fake name = permanent IP ban). Start from 0 on reviews. Sort out your legal status before resuming the activity (see self-employed guide). Back up your listings with Redrip to repost them elsewhere.
Prevention
1. Respect Vinted's terms of service.
2. Switch to Vinted Pro if you're running a commercial activity.
3. Avoid extreme automation pacing.
4. Back up regularly (Redrip backup).
